Sally
Nash

|
Sally is acknowledged as a leading insolvency lawyer. She was admitted
to practice in 1977 and has practiced in insolvency, general commercial
litigation and debt recovery litigation since that time. Her practice
is in all State and Federal Courts involving commercial and insolvency
litigation acting for creditors, Trustees, Liquidators and bankrupts.
Sally has been involved in many leading edge cases and is very well
considered by her clients and fellow practitioners. She also has
extensive experience acting for secured creditors in the enforcement of
their securities.
Often asked to speak to the profession and clients, Sally is happy to
assist with PLT and in house training.
Sally
is a member of the Law Council of Australia; IWIRC, Commercial
Insolvency and Reconstruction Committee, Insolvency Practitioners
Association of Australia; Turnaround Management Association Australia;
Representative on the ASIC Regional Insolvency Co‑Ordination Unit and
member of the Smaller Practice Issues Committee of INSOL International,
International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy
Professionals. Sally has also been appointed a Clinical Lecturer in Law
at the University of Newcastle Legal Centre

Karen Rawsthorne |
Karen Rawsthorne was admitted as a solicitor in 1990. Karen has been
employed for many years in the Local Court system and with this firm.
She was re-employed by the firm in 2006 to assist in debt recovery and
enforcement litigation matters. Karen has many years of experience
working for this firm in debt recovery, bankruptcy and liquidation
matters. Her role is to ensure that matters are progressed through the
Court system in a timely manner for the benefit of all of our clients.
Karen is able to advise on the Court process and procedures and is happy
to take enquiries in relation to debt recovery and Court process

Daniela Fazio
|
Having
completed her Advanced Diploma of Conveyancing in 2007 Daniela has now
commenced studies in the Legal Profession Admission Board, in
conjunction with the University of Sydney Law Extension Committee law
course to become a qualified legal practitioner. In 2011 Daniela
completed the subjects of Insolvency, Conveyancing and Practice and
Procedure. She received a distinction in Conveyancing and a commendation
from the Legal Profession Admission Board as the joint 3rd highest mark
in the Insolvency examination. Daniela is a Certified Practising
Conveyancer. She conducts complex conveyancing matters for Trustees and
Liquidators as well as mortgagee sales and preparation and lodgement of
Caveats and Bankruptcy Applications for Trustees in Bankruptcy. Daniela
also conducts non complex conveyancing and the mortgage practice of the
firm. Daniela assists with the conduct of complex litigation relating to
insolvency matters or trust and mortgagee sales.

Deborah Chippindall |
Deborah Chippindall is a costing consultant of more than 20 years
experience who is employed part time in the firm to assist in advising
on costing matters involving bills of costs, forms of bills, solicitor
and client bills, party/party and indemnity bills. In particular
Deborah is able to consider the best way for our clients to recover
their costs orders and to ensure that bills and accounts are issued in a
manner in which you can best understand and which give sufficient
information to fully comprehend the detailed work which we have
performed in the matters in which we have been instructed. Deborah is
also able to advise on general procedural matters within the Courts and
is happy to take enquiries, particularly in relation to costing,
assessment and taxation issues.

Megan
Zhang |
Megan has completed her Advanced Diploma in Conveyancing in 2010. Having
completed her Advanced Diploma of Conveyancing Megan has now commenced
studies in the Legal Profession Admission Board, in conjunction with the
University of Sydney Law Extension Committee law course to become a
qualified legal practitioner. Megan assists with general letters of
demand, caveats, settlement and workflow management.

Melanie
Cavanough
|
Complex litigation is managed by Melanie. She manages all debt recovery
litigation and can assist in the Court requirements for completion of
Court process and Affidavits. This includes Supreme Court, Federal
Court, Federal Magistrate Court litigation for corporations,
individuals, Trustees and Liquidators. Melanie works under the direct
supervision of Sally Nash but is able to answer day-to-day queries
concerning complex litigation, being managed by the firm.

Christie Boyd |
Christie has completed her Legal Administration
Certificate III. In 2011 Christie commenced a Conveyancing for legal
secretaries course run by the Law Society of New South Wales in
conjunction with the College of Law. Christie assists in complex
litigation and prepares documents for bankruptcy and winding up
applications. She also assists and manages debt recovery litigation and
can also assist in the Court requirements for completion of Court
process and Affidavits. This includes Supreme Court, Federal Court,
Federal Magistrates Court litigation for corporations, individuals,
Trustees and Liquidators. Christie works under the direct supervision of
Sally Nash but is able to answer day-to-day queries concerning complex
litigation being managed by the firm and general debt recovery processes.

Laila Hachem |
Laila has completed an Accounting Certificate and is our office manager
and bookkeeper who has over 20 years accounting experience. Laila is
responsible for maintaining the client account system of the firm and
the day to day book keeping. She manages accounts payable and accounts
receivable as well as the general and trust account.
